Sheriff Howard's Response To His Opponent's Reaction To The Department Of Justice Report

Buffalo, N.Y.- "It is unfortunate that my opponent has chosen to politicize these issues more than they are already are - especially before all the facts are in. Any true professional would know better. Our opponent must feel he is an expert because he worked a short stint in Attica Prison more than 30 years ago and watches a lock up with a population of 5 to 10 people a day."

Howard added: "I am a 38 year law enforcement veteran who currently oversees a population of over 23,000 people a year in the county's facilities. It is apparent, in his statement, that my opponent just doesn't get it".
